Thermal Simulation

transfer by heat conduction, convection and radiation. This allows the precise examination of effects caused by thermal stresses on components or by temperature fields and heat flows in plants or individual components. Depending on the application, a stationary observation or a time-dependent (transient) study with discontinuous heat flow must be considered. In addition, we are able to analyse thermal processes in their entirety with heat sources and heat sinks using multiphysical simulation approaches. We specialise in the fields of electrothermic processes such as induction heating and thermo-fluid-dynamical processes such as heat exchanger. A special feature of the thermal simulation is the modelling of phase transformation such as polymer melts or the vaporisation of liquids. Finally, the coupling of thermal simulation with structural analysis is another important area of application for the numerical examination of thermally induced stresses in components (fluid-structure interaction).
